What I Offer
Services
All therapies are always affirming of: gender identity, kink, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, diverse relationship structures and diverse spiritual paths.

Sex Therapy
I hold certifications from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists as a Sex Therapist (CST). Sex therapy includes interventions for individuals and couples aimed at promoting a happy and healthy sex life.
My experience providing sex therapy includes treatment for the following conditions:
- Low libido concerns
- Erectile dysfunction
- Premature/delayed ejaculation
- Pain with sex sometimes associated with vaginismus or vulvodynia
- Recovery from sexual trauma
- Emotional healing and erotic recovery after infidelity
- Out-of-control sexual behaviors
- Kink integration
Couples Therapy
In Couples Therapy, the relationship is the client. We work as a team in Couples Therapy and always meet as a group with the exception of one individual session for each partner at the beginning of treatment. As it tends to be more oriented toward goals achieved in a didactic and experiential way, it therefore often has a shorter length of treatment than individual therapy.
Our journey in couples therapy will begin with an assessment of the strengths of the relationship and the current areas of need. We will move based on your goals and toward the promotion of accessibility, reliability and engagement between you and your partner.
Utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy, we work to identify and disrupt your typical patterns, or “dances.” In attachment-based therapy we visit the past to conduct non-judgmental research into how we have come to relate with others and with the self. By developing insight into how the complex mix of family, social and environmental factors converge to create fear-based responses in relationships, we are able to make meaningful changes and conscious choices about how we show up in relationships. Problems are tackled with a "we" mentality - not "me against you," but "us against the problem." I can help you identify and alter the negative patterns that keep you stuck, and instead work together collaboratively to develop a Secure Base with each other.
I hold the first two levels of certification for the Gottman Method, which is a heavily researched, evidence-based approach to couples therapy focused on predictable and observable outcomes. We understand that relationship problems are not so much about the conflict but the way we handle conflict - how we speak, the words we choose, how well we demonstrate to our partner that we hold care and respect for them. When I practice within the Gottman method my clients report enjoying the solution-focused nature and the intervention's ease of application.
Most couples I work with prefer to address erotic concerns in the context of a range of interpersonal, communicative, and values-based relational/gender role constructs. Some common issues treated in couples therapy include:
- Desire discrepancy in the erotic realm
- Improving communication
- Conflict resolution strategies
- Repair effort strategies
- Expanding into an ethical non-monogamy or polyamorous relationship framework
- Developing monogamy agreements
- Emotional and erotic recovery after infidelity
- De-escalation or uncoupling peacefully and with love
Individual Therapy
It is my privilege to be allowed into the inner sanctum of one's psyche. When we work together, I care deeply about your journey through life. Because of my expertise, some seek me solely for short-term sex therapy. However, the majority of my clients work with me for long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy to focus on a range of issues that may or may not include eroticism.
With special training in trauma-informed treatments, therapy can help you improve your relationship with yourself and your loved ones.
Therapy is an act of empowerment for the Self. Individual therapy is available for as long as it is desired and beneficial. You may seek it as part of a general self-care practice, or to work through a specific issue. Over my many years as a therapist I've helped people with a multitude of issues, including but not limited to:
- Trauma recovery
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship problems
- Parenting problems
- Health issues/infertility
- Women's issues
- Men's issues
- Gender atypicality
- Ethical non-monogamy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Part of my post-Christian spiritual exploration included journeys with plant medicine, which meant I was thrilled at the overdue legalization of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy - in NYS, for now, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). I've been practicing KAP for almost two years and have been amazed at the rapid shift in perspective individuals and couples can achieve within a short period of time.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy pairs a legal, medically supervised dose of ketamine with the relational work of psychotherapy. Clients often describe the state it opens up as one of loosened defenses — a chance to view long-held patterns, beliefs, or wounds from some distance, without the usual grip of fear or shame around them. My role is to help you prepare for that state, hold the space with you while you're in it, and then do the slower work afterward of integrating what surfaced into your daily life. I work with clients who feel stuck in more conventional talk therapy, who are curious about non-ordinary states of consciousness as a clinical tool, or who are looking for a different entry point into longstanding depression, anxiety, trauma, or existential stuckness. Sessions take place virtually or, if you are local to the Rochester area, there is the option of doing it in your home. KAP includes arranging set, setting and intention prior to the dosing session, and integration within the 72 hours of neuroplasticity.
